Progress on the new autism employability course

Phoenix, the AGCAS journal, has today published The Professionalism Issue

Within the issue, there is a feature on a free online employability course for autistic students and graduates mentioned previously on this blog when we launched it in May of this year.

We know that autistic graduates experience the highest unemployment rate of all disability groups. Career planning, workplace jargon, adjustments and preparing for interviews are areas that some autistic students and graduates find challenging, and the course has tips on all of these.

Head to page 34 of the issue to hear some feedback from a student who has completed the course. You can also read about the course structure, how it was created, what we recommend, and our hopes for the course in terms of effecting change.
